Maria was a great guide, telling us just the right amount of information. However, the staff serving behind the bar were a bit unfriendly.A better description of what to expect before booking would be useful, including a photo of the boat.
Embark on a wonderful and relaxing way to explore the areas of Parga and Sivota. First, depart from the Port of Corfu, where you enjoy a unique view of the Old Town, its two Venetian fortresses, the Kanoni peninsula, and the palace of Mon Repos, where Prince Phillip was born. As you head south, parallel to the mainland, you pass the capital city of the Thesprotia region, Igoumenitsa, the small fishing village of Plataria, and the Sivota Islands. Here, you enter the breathtaking cave of Sivota, where the Greek submarine “Papanikolis” hid during the Second World War.
Sail around the historical small islands of Sivota, and imagine the great naval battle between the Corfiots and the Corinthians that took place in the summer of 432 B.C. Many of the vessels sunk in the fighting still lie at the bottom of the sea. Soon afterwards, arrive at the picturesque Blue Lagoon bay, where historians say Arabian pirates moored their ships in the Middle Ages. Drop anchor close to the beach, giving you the opportunity to swim in the lagoon’s exotic blue waters. In Parga, a large picturesque village, you marvel at the beautiful colorful architecture, delve into its rich history, and bask in its rare natural beauty. Wander through its interlaced beaches, emerald waters, calm bays, olive groves, and enjoy the healthy climate and romantic side streets.
