Auf der Liste der nationalen Schätze steht der Berg Athos in einer Reihe mit der Akropolis in Athen. Die östlichste Halbinsel der Chalkidiki ist die einzige Mönchsrepublik der Welt und wird von den schwarz gekleideten Mönchen der mittelalterlichen Klöster regiert. Der Zugang ist beschränkt, und allen Frauen - und weiblichen Tieren außer Katzen - ist es untersagt, einen Fuß auf ihre Küsten zu setzen.

Deshalb ist diese Bootsfahrt die beste und einzige Möglichkeit, einen Blick auf den Berg zu werfen. With all the planning taken care of, you'll be able to while away the hours in total relaxation under the bright Greek sun before we arrive at the first swim stop. Plunge into the cooling sea and try some snorkelling to spot the sea life.Once you're back on board we'll continue along the coast for another swim stop. Along the way, you can enjoy a few glasses of wine, beer or soft drinks alongside, snacks, fruit, and fresh Greek yoghurt. And on the way back to port, you can even play captain with a short sailing lesson from the crew.

Toroneos Gulf & Turtle Island Boat Cruise

A day at sea to blow the cobwebs away has holiday stamped all over it. Setting sail from the port of Chrousso, you'll glide along the Kassandra and Sithonia peninsulas – dotted with beautiful islands made up of pine trees and bleached white beaches. You'll also stop by Neos Marmaras and Kelifos Island on this relaxing boat trip.Your destination is Toroni, where you'll be able to have fun and games on the beach or just chill out and top up your tan. There'll be a snack provided once you're back on board, while the skipper navigates to Neos Marmaras. One of the biggest ports in Halkidiki, you'll have time here to explore the town and hit the shops.There's a one last stop during the afternoon at Kelifos Island. It's also known as Turtle Island because of its turtle shell-shape. Dive off the back of the boat for one final swim before heading back to port.

But on this full day tour, we'll go beyond its good looks and unravel the secrets of the region. There'll be visits to traditional villages knockout photo stops, plus local honey tasting.Travelling past rows of olive groves towards Parthenonas Village, you'll be able to soak up all the colours of Sithonia. You'll be shown the best photo spots and have free time for a coffee, too. Next, well stop by Torononi village for a quick photo stop and then call at Porto Koufo harbour.
