Afitos bei Nacht

Lot longer on the coach than anticipated, very busy when we arrived, couldn’t hear the guide so went off on own, in retrospect would’ve been easier to explore before dark. Didn’t get enough information on what was there so missed historic sights that were probably hidden behind gift shops and bars.

We felt loading and unloading of coach could have been smoother. Upon meeting at 11 for return it was a bit chaotic. Being assigned a bus number to get back on and then a head count on the coach would have saved all the fuss.

We were late leaving by 35 mins. Town itself was pretty but not what you’d expect. We were told to be back at the bus for 11.30 but bus left at 11.15 leaving 2 people behind meaning we stopped about 20 mins back into our journey on the side of a carriageway. We thought the bus had broken down at first as driver just got off. 30 mins later we realised 2 people had been left behind when they got back in the bus. Felt for them. Badly organised that eve.

The bus left 30 mins late and at 23.55 were currently sat on the roadside waiting for 2 people who were left behind. Not on and not good. Would not do.

Afitos is a beautiful place and the little shops and bars were lovely but the coach journey there and back was not great. The roads are very bouncy so we felt a bit travel sick when we arrived. The journey was 50minutes not the 30 as described. It is also not suitable for people with mobility issues as a very hilly walk down and up again to the village itself. This isn’t clear in the tour description

Loved this trip , it was great to have the guide to give us a little guided tour with knowledge, the village is stunning
