What an amazing experience - we did the 4hr buggy tour. Remember to take a scarf and water plus you get the option to see the Lemon Sharks - you can hire water shoes for 3€. Dressed in a boiler suit, helmet, goggles and face scarf, this is a exhilarating experience. A photographer follows the tour and gets some great shots which you can buy at the end (reasonably priced). Only downside was that the Tui bus didn’t arrive to take us back to the Hotel - luckily it was only a 15-20 min walk.
Speed demons will rejoice with these adrenaline-pumping buggy tours. Ideal for manoeuvring over sandy terrain, you'll get to see even more of the island as you rev, race and rumble down tracks you never knew existed. There's three tours to choose from – a 2-hour, 4-hour or night-time excursion - the choice is completely yours.
If exploring more of Sal is on your agenda, then a fun way to sightsee is on an exhilarating buggy tour. Whether you opt for the 2-hour of 4-hour tour, you'll get to take the helm and navigate winding tracks and try some off-roading to viewpoints over the island's famed pearly-white beaches, sand dunes, bays and turquoise shores.
But before you set off, there's a quick safety briefing from your guide and time to change into some overalls and goggles – to protect you and your clothing. And if you opt for the night-time buggy tour, you'll see Sal under the twinkling of the stars.
