As well as seeing paintings by Cézanne, Degas, Manet, Monet, Renoir, Seurat, Van Gogh and more, you’ll also have access to exhibitions on photography, graphic art, architecture, sculptures, and objets d’art.

The museum building itself is a highly photogenic ex-train station with a Beaux-Arts façade and an interior iron skeleton. In the square nearby, you’ll see the six sculptures built on the occasion of the 1900 International Expo, each representing a different continent.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: During the period between July 18 and July 24, it will be mandatory to book your visit, including for those who already have a ticket and those eligible for free admission. A free countermark must be reserved on the Museum's official website after your purchase. Anyone holding a paid ticket or benefiting from free admission to the Musée d'Orsay must present the voucher obtained from the ticketing website. Both the ticket and the free countermark will be required to access the area
  • Please note: the Museum will remain closed on July 25th and 26th 2024
  • Free admission for all visitors on the first Sunday of each month; please note that the reservation of a visit slot is mandatory
  • Free admission (on presentation of proof of entitlement) for: visitors under 18; 18-25 years old nationals or long-term residents of a country in the European Union; holders of a valid Education Pass; disabled visitors with an accompanying person; jobseekers; Paris Museum Pass holders; White Card members; members of the Barnes Foundation; members of Louvre Abu Dhabi; members of the Société des Amis du Musée d'Orsay or American Friends of the Musée d'Orsay
  • Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday 9.30 am - 6.00 pm (last access to the museum at 5.00 pm; last access to the exhibitions at 5.15 pm; closing of the rooms from 5.30 pm); late opening on Thursday until 9.45 pm (last access to the museum and exhibitions at 9.00 pm; closing of the rooms from 9.15 pm); closed every Monday, May 1 and December 25
