Your first stop is Nara Park, renowned for its wild deer and historical landmarks such as the Todai-ji Temple with its colossal Buddha statue. Here, you'll spend around 1 hour strolling through the gardens and soaking in the views of Mount Wakakusa. From there, you'll move on to explore Kyoto’s iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, famed for its endless path of red torii gates. Here, you'll have approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. You can make a wish for good fortune and design your own fox-shaped ema plaque. This spiritual site offers many photo opportunities and profound cultural significance.
The adventure continues in Arashiyama where you'll have 2 hours and a half of free time to discover its beauty. Optional highlights include a ride on the Sagano Romantic Train through charming valleys, a peaceful walk through the Bamboo Grove — one of Japan’s most photographed spots, or a relaxing traditional foot bath at the station. You could also stroll through the Kimono Forest, an art display of 600 glowing kimono poles, and make a wish at the mystical Dragon Pond.
