Join this combo expedition by combining a jeep tour with a Levada walk. You will experience Madeira’s wilderness by jeep and by foot when entering the Laurissilva forest in the center of Madeira.
Porto da Cruz, where you´ll do the first Levada walk, is a rural village where the main activity is agriculture. It´s famous for the local table wine, the production of rum, and surfing. You can also find one of the oldest sugar cane refineries here and taste some rum. Continue to Ribeiro Frio where you´ll enter the heart of the natural park during a second Levada walk. Explore the local flora and endemic vegetation of Madeira. Then continue to Pico do Arieiro which is the third highest peak on the island with an altitude of 1818m. Views from there are spectacular and when the weather allows it, you can even see Porto Santo.
At the end of the day, you´ll be dropped off at your hotel in Funchal.
