What to expect

Discover Mu Ko Surin National Park and its coral reef with this snorkeling tour from Khao Lak; before departing for your speedboat cruise, enjoy a light breakfast at the pier.

Surin Islands are rated as one of Thailand's prime snorkeling sites, with a phenomenal range of flora and fauna on the land and in the sea. This tour will offer you an overview on the impressive park's bio-diversity. During the day you will make several snorkel stops, at Pakkard Bay, at Nemo Village and at Ao Mae Yai, where you can dive in the turquoise waters of the reef.
You will also visit the village of the Moken, where the local Sea Gypsies will tell you about their life-style in connection with nature.

Before heading back to Khao Lak, you will make a stop on Koh Surin Nua to enjoy a delicious lunch at the National Park canteen.

Get picked up from your hotel in Khao Lak. The exact pickup time will be confirmed by email after you have made the booking, please check your spam folder. Please wait for your pickup at the hotel lobby 15 minutes before the indicated time.
What to remember
  • This tour is not recommended for pregnant women, children under 4, people over 69, and people with back or neck problems
  • Important, upon booking please send a copy of the passport ID page for all travelers to the local operator, it will be shared with the Thai Marine Department, and it's compulsory to confirm the tour. Local operator contacts can be found in the voucher after booking
  • Important, on the day of the tour, please also bring a digital photo of the passport on your phone or a copy of the passport to the trip
  • Please note, you will have to indicate your accommodation address for pickup at the time of booking; there is the option to change the accommodation after booking at an extra fee of 300 THB per person
  • Please bring a towel, a waterproof bag, sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, flip-flops and a camera
  • The speedboat will carry you as close to the beach as possible, so you can hop off and on easily
  • Wear flip-flops in case there are shells or rocks on the sand and shorts rather than pants as the water level may be above the knees when hopping off/on the boat
  • It's suggested to get enough sleep the night before the tour
  • There is a minimum of 15 people required to run this activity, on the rare occasion that the trip gets cancelled, the local operator will inform you in advance and offer a different travel date, an alternative activity or provide a full refund

    Der Ausflug war sehr gut organisiert und wurde von einem netten Guide geleitet. Die Verpflegung war umfassender als erwartet und beim Lunch wurden angegebene Lebensmittelunverträglichkeiten berücksichtigt. Die Inseln sind traumhaft, man sollte sich jedoch bewusst sein, dass sie von vielen Touristen angefahren werden und es daher nicht immer gerade idyllisch ist.

    Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Tour. Alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr gute Verpflegung während der gesamten Tour. Der gesamte Tourablauf war sehr gut durchorganisiert.Sehr schöne Schnorcheltrips und 2 schöne Landpausen. Allerdings waren waren von der Hotelabholung bis - Rückkehr insgesamt 11 Stunden unterwegs, bei einer anvisierten Ausflugsdauer von 4 - 8 Stunden. Das sollte besser kommuniziert werden.

    This tour was absolutely brilliant, the staff were amazing, very attentive. 3 great stops for snorkelling and 2 stops on islands. Can’t fault any of it
