What to expect

Admire the sunrise from Pico do Arieiro, the highest viewpoint of Madeira.

You can choose between three options:

Tour with meal (available from Tuesday to Saturday) includes breakfast and the levada walk after sunrise. Enjoy the sunrise while sipping a cup of tea or coffee and having breakfast. Try some sandwiches, homemade cake, toasted cheese and ham sandwiches. Before going back to the area of Camacha take a walk through the Paradise Valley where you'll be able to admire some endemic trees of the Laurissilva forest.

Half day tour (available on Sunday only), includes the outdoor breakfast (or in a sheltered spot in case of rain or cold/windy weather) and the levada walk will be replaced by a 1-hour visit to Santo da Serra traditional arts, crafts and food market, which takes place only on Sundays.

Round-trip transfers are available Monday to Saturday. This option includes a stunning sunrise view at Pico do Arieiro but does not include breakfast. Return transport to your hotel is provided, and this option is ideal if you have breakfast included in your accommodation.

This tour will take place rain or shine. If the weather/visibility conditions are not good enough to see the sunrise in Pico do Arieiro, the sunrise spot will change to the Santo da Serra Golf court or the Skywalk Viewpoint of Guindaste in Santana or the tip of the island Ponta de São Lourenço
There are no refunds based on weather conditions, weather can be unpredictable, and the local operator is not responsible for low visibility in Pico do Arieiro, you'll be offered an alternative spot
Note that the tour includes breakfast and the levada walk from Tuesday to Saturday. On Monday the tour is available without breakfast as the kitchen is closed on Mondays
From Monday to Saturday there is a low-cost option "Round trip transfer" that does not include levada walk or breakfast as this option is catered for guests who wish to enjoy breakfast at their hotel after the sunrise
