Absolutely loved this tour, Montana the guide was excellent! I was really only wanting to see the Star Wars stuff but did not want to do the two day tour when only away for a week so went for this one instead and I'm very glad I did. It was really nice to see the Berba village and have lunch there.
Embark on a journey through time as we traverse the ancient Roman road, heading towards the intriguing Chott de la Chahbania. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore this geological wonder up close. Your adventure then continues to the charming town of Tataouine, where you'll have some free time to soak in the local culture.
Next, you'll venture towards Chenini, an abandoned Berber village that has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you're feeling adventurous, there's an option for a hike along the outskirts of this historic settlement. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant nestled at the foot of the village, where a good Tunisian couscous awaits.
The post-lunch itinerary includes visits to Ksar El Ferch and Ksar Hadada, two ancient granaries that once served as food storage for the locals. Interestingly, Ksar Hadada was also a filming location for scenes from the iconic movie "Star Wars" in July 1997.
