Boat trip was very good. Having booked the trip some time before the actual date, was quite surprised to find that after a full day on the boat, including viewing Oia from the boat, when I was looking forward to going back to my hotel I found that I was to spend 3 hours in a crowded Oia.
Enjoy a guided tour with boat and bus transportation to the volcano of Santorini. You'll be picked up and dropped off at the end.
Visit the volcano of Santorini by boat starting from Athinios port. Walk into its ridge with your guide and discover its history and geology. Then, reach the island of Palea Kameni where the famous hot springs are located on the west side. Stop here for a half hour at a distance of 30 meters from the shallow waters of Agios Nicholao’s beach. The waters are mixed with mud full of sulfur, iron, and other metals coming from the volcano.
Visit the island of Thirassia and take a look at what Santorini used to be several years ago. Have a 2-hour tour to have time to explore this picturesque traditional village as well as taste the authentic Santorinian cuisine, if you want. Have a walk to the main village of Manolas, which is the capital of Thirassia and admire Santorini from here. Reach Oia village by bus to explore this majestic village on your own and admire the unique sunset.
