Beschreibung

Ein Besuch der vulkanischen Inseln der Caldera ist ein Muss, wenn Sie auf Santorin Ferien machen. Das aus Holz gebaute Segelboot bringt Sie auf dieser ganztägigen Cruise nach Nea Kameni, Palea Kameni und Thirassia - drei aus dem Wasser ragende vulkanische Inseln - und weiter entlang der Caldera.

Das erste Highlight ist Nea Kameni. Ein Pfad führt hinauf zum ca. 120 Meter hoch gelegenen Vulkankrater. Sie wandern durch eine raue, mondähnliche Landschaft, aus der stellenweise ständig schwefelhaltiger Rauch aufsteigt. Freuen Sie sich auf tolle Ausblicke auf das in der Ferne liegende Santorin und weit hinaus über die Ägäis. Anschließend fahren Sie zu den Thermalquellen von Palea Kameni. Genießen Sie das Vergnügen, im mineralreichen Wasser mit Temperaturen von bis zu 35 Grad Celsius zu baden. Die schneeweiße orthodoxe Kapelle am Wasser ist ein tolles Motiv für stimmungsvolle Fotos.

Die Insel Thirassia lädt Sie zu einem Spaziergang um einen aktiven Krater ein oder um etwas Zeit im Dorf Manolas am Kraterrand zu verbringen - die Aussicht ist atemberaubend. Danach geht es wieder aufs Boot und entlang der Küste zurück zum Hafen von Athinios.

This outing starts with an easy-going walk from the town of Imerovigli to Santorini's capital, Fira. It's about a mile and a half between the two, and usually takes about an hour to complete.
