Enjoy nature and the impressive landscapes of Saxon Switzerland, a popular destination for hiking, walking or simply escaping from the everyday life. Explore the dramatic rocky landscape that has already inspired and thrilled Caspar David Friedrich and Richard Wagner!

The bus trip will take you along the Elbe, upstream into the heart of Saxon Switzerland National Park. You will thus discover the impressive connection of the river with the rocky landscape and visit the world-famous Bastei, with its breathtaking view over the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and its unusual rock formations.

You can optionally visit the Königstein Fortress too and discover one of the largest mountain fortresses in Europe. Moreover, from the 2 of May to the 3 of October, you can also choose to come back by steamboat.

Meet directly at the Dr. Külz Ring bus stop (look for the blue city tour double-decker bus). Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the tour starts!

  • Please note that if you choose to visit the Königstein Fortress, you will have to pay an extra entrance fee of 15€ per person. The visit can only be booked on site
  • The return trip by steamer depends on the season and can be booked with the bus driver at a cost of 28€ per person. In case you choose to add this option, the duration of the tour will extended of around 2 hours
