Beschreibung

Die Highlights dieser Ganztagestour sind Shopping, Mittagessen am Flussufer und ein wunderschöner, wilder Canyon. Sie machen eine Bootsfahrt durch den Canyon und halten am Oymapinar-Stausee an, um zu baden. Narin, einer unserer ortskundigen Tourguides, sagt: „Der Oymapinar-Stausee ist mit einer Fläche von etwa 19 Quadratkilometern einer der größten Stauseen der Türkei. Gespeist wird der See vom Fluss Manavgat, der vom Taurusgebirge nach Süden fließt und schließlich bei Side ins Mittelmeer mündet."

Ihre Tour beginnt mit einem Einkaufsbummel im Dickman Textile Centre. Wenn Mode Ihr Ding ist, haben Sie Glück, denn hier können Sie in aller Ruhe nach Kleidung und Accessoires führender Marken stöbern. Danach geht es in ein Restaurant am Flussufer, wo Sie eine frisch zubereitete Mahlzeit mit Zutaten aus der Region genießen können.

Anschließend starten Sie mit der Fahrt auf dem Wasserweg des Canyons. Um Sie herum türmen sich spektakulär zerklüftete Felsformationen auf und der Fluss schlängelt sich in Türkis- und Grüntönen in die Ferne. Es ist ein ruhiges Stück türkischer Naturschönheit und die Farbe des Wassers ist bezaubernd. Sie fahren durch die Schlucht und bewundern die Aussicht, bevor das Boot langsamer wird - Sie können in dieser wilden Umgebung schwimmen, sobald das Boot den Oymapinar-See erreicht.

Narin, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Oymapinar Dam Lake is one of the largest reservoirs in Turkey, covering an area of approximately 19 square kilometres. The lake is fed by the Manavgat River, which flows south from the Taurus Mountains and eventually empties into the Mediterranean Sea at Side.' Your tour starts with a spot of shopping at Dickman Textile Centre. If fashion is your thing, then you're in luck as you can enjoy a stress-free browse for clothing and accessories from leading brands. Next, we'll head to a riverside restaurant for a freshly prepared meal made with locally sourced ingredients. Afterwards it's all aboard, ready for a cruise down the canyon waterway. Spectacularly rugged rock formations tower around you and the river, in shades of turquoise and green, snakes away into the distance. It's a tranquil slice of Turkish natural beauty and the colour of the water is spellbinding. You'll cruise the canyon, admiring the views, before the boat slows - you'll be able to swim in these wild surroundings once the boat reaches the Oymapinar Lake.

Elif, one of our expert local guides, says "the views from the cable car open up across the red-tiled rooftops and winding streets of the old town and beyond. Look out for the 13th century Red Tower, which was built as a lookout on the harbour."You'll get straight into the action by hopping onto the Alanya Castle cable car. Once at the top, take in the scenery from this vantage point 250 metres above the Med. It's the perfect spot to watch the sun go down. After this, we'll zip down to Meazza gourmet restaurant by way of Alanya harbour. See the chefs at work as they prepare kuymak, a tasty cornmeal and melted cheese dish from the Black Sea coast, usually made with local laz or tulum cheese.The chefs will also demonstrate how to make irmik, a sweet and creamy dessert often flavoured with orange blossom water, rose water or vanilla. Elif says "the aroma of semolina cooking in melted butter takes me straight back to my childhood, when my mother used to make irmik for special occasions." After dinner, we'll go off-road, heading to the Alanya View Terrace up above the city for a glass of wine. Drink in the views of the city lights shimmering below – a great way to end an amazing evening.
