Begin your adventure at Lake Sai, home to the “Koyama Fuji” (Baby Mount Fuji). This peaceful lake provides serene views of the iconic peak, ideal for quiet moments and capturing beautiful photos without the hustle and bustle.
Next on your itinerary is Lake Kawaguchi, where the landscape transforms with each season. In summer (June-July), Daishi Park becomes a purple sea during the Lavender Festival, creating a magical backdrop for Mount Fuji. In autumn (October), the grass in the park turns red, adding a touch of whimsy to the scenery. The annual Kawaguchi Herb Festival also takes place here during this time. From October 20 to November 26, you can visit the Kawaguchi Maple Corridor, where snow-capped Mount Fuji meets fiery red maple leaves. In spring (April 1-13), the Kawaguchi Sakura Festival showcases cherry blossoms framing Mount Fuji, with the north shore providing an ideal spot for iconic photos.
Then head to Fujiyoshida’s “Ladder Town,” where quiet streets lead to Mount Fuji. The Kawagawa Clock Tower offers charming Japanese street views and impressive Fuji backdrops. Continue your journey to Shinobazu-numa to see eight crystal clear springs surrounded by verdant greenery. Conclude your day at Lake Yamanaka, the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes.
