Things to do in Lindos
Known best for its whitewashed buildings, golden sand beaches, historical and archaeological significance, and especially for its clifftop acropolis, the famed town of Lindos never fails to awe and inspire all those who choose to visit.
A major highlight of the town, the Acropolis of Lindos, is considered to be one of the most important archaeological sites on Rhodes. Excavated in the early 20th century, the ruins of this acropolis are located on a steep cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Situated on the Greek island of Rhodes, Lindos is said to date back to the 10th century. This tourism hotspot attracts travellers with charming beaches such as the popular Lindos Beach, the quieter Pallas Beach, and the picturesque St. Paul’s Bay.
In addition, since many of the buildings in Lindos have flat roofs, rooftop restaurants are quite common and can be enjoyed year-round thanks to the region’s Mediterranean climate.

Headsets allow direct connection between you and your guide.Dimitris believes Rhodes is blessed with some of the best scenery in Greece. He says, ‘Lindos lies near a fantastic sandy beach, surrounded by hills hiding the village, protecting the place from the attacks of the pirates. On top of the small sugar cube houses stands the ancient Acropolis and the Temple of Athena.' You'll get to appreciate these very views during a coffee stop at a typical family-run café. Reviews Lindos
“The tour wasn't explained enough beforehand. There were a lot of steps and it isn't suitable for people with heart problems, poor mobility, and pregnant women. The tour guide was walking too far ahead so the transmission was lost in the earpiece we were given. The coach driver was terrible, at one point he slammed the brakes on and I bruised my knees on the seat in front. The tour left so early, we had 15mins for breakfast, no proper lunch included, and only offered a bottle of water. Not good.”
“Too crowded and cramped on the boat, not enough time on Lindos, 1/2 hr swim stops were actually around 18-20 minutes”
“Driver was 15mins late which isn't acceptable when we were the first passengers. Guide was rude. This is such a shame as the other TUI experience trip we went on was completely the opposite. Driver on time. guide was funny, charming and helpful”
“The trip really needs to state that you need to be physically fit and that Lindos itself is fairly hilly. It needs to identify how many steps you need to climb. Although the guide was pleasant, I don't believe he gave his name and he appeared very aware of the time limits.”
