There's a snowy slope for sledging down, an ever-snowing igloo and an ice-rink where you can show off your triple axel – or just have a shuffle around with the crowd.
With the scent of roasted chestnuts in the air, follow your nose to the traditional Christmas market. 22 stalls are brimming with festive favourites, from handmade crafts, decorations and gifts to locally produced cheeses, jams and wines. Ana adds “nothing says Christmas like a roaring fire, so make sure you take a moment to cozy up by the fire pit, grab some marshmallows to toast and maybe a hot chocolate or mulled wine.” After you've had your fill of Christmas cheer, you'll meet up with your guide and jingle all the way back to your hotel in Playa Blanca or Puerto del Carmen.
