Auschwitz and Birkenau self-guided tour with transfer from Krakow

The tour itself was great and we did have a memorable experience. However pick up time was 12 but we wasn’t informed of the 2.5 hour delay I had to call Tui to find this out myself. Our guide Ollie was amazing and very welcoming and informative. Poor planning with communication though we stood outside in the cold for almost an hour before finding out about the delay.

Information was clear as to our meeting place & time to arrive. We nearly missed our taxi as it wasn't clear it was the 1 we were looking for. The time in the museums was very short for amount there was to see & the area to cover. We were grateful our taxi waited as we were 10 minutes late to the meeting place. The driver was kind, 1 of the passengers less so. Overall, we were really glad we went. Next time we'd book a whole day trip to the museums

So the guided tour I booked months ahead was cancelled 3 days before by TUI Musement. I panicked and we chose a self guided tour with TUI Musement which was £20.00 dearer!! The night before we were told to be at the meet point an hour earlier. Waited in a queue for an hour before being told our tour was 3 hours later! Whole day lasted 11 hours! Security was tighter than airport. We hadn’t got a clue as no one was speaking English. Bad value for money, it was a shambles, beware.

When we arrived at auchvitz we’re told that if we wanted a English guide then we had to wait 5 hours so we had to go round with a polish guide who we didn’t understand and rushed round then we had the same guide at the second place. The place was amazing but the experience for the cost was very disappointing

I was on a guided tour even though I booked a self guided tour. The whole experience was rushed, there were too many in the group so by the time we got to look at something the guide was on about something else completely and we were very confused. We hardly seen anything. I felt so sorry for the older people who couldn’t keep up with the rest of the group. The driver was awful as well, he drove quite dangerously. 2 seats on the coach were broken and we told the guide and he didn’t care.
