This is not a guided tour, it is a taxi service but is described as a guided tour. At no point were we given any information. I contacted the company on WhatsApp, phone and text to confirm pick up times. I was finally messaged the night before at 11.30 to say it was 6.50 am not the advertised time of 7.15!! Luckily, I did see it! The personalised boat trip advertised as 12 euro was actually a public ferry costing 13 euro. The itinerary description does not match the actual trip.
Experience the natural beauty of the island of Crete with a guided tour through Preveli. Visit some of the island's most beautiful beaches and walk through the famous Kourtaliotiko gorge.
Start your tour at 8.30am from your accommodation where your guide will meet you. First enjoy visiting Kourtaliotiko gorge and its amazing waterfalls. Take a short scenic drive through to Damnoni beach where your personal boat driver awaits. You will find yourself in Preveli after a short, picturesque boat ride. Enjoy a swim in the Libyan Sea at Preveli beach and feel free to explore the Kourtaliotiko gorge and marvel at the mountainous terrain. Connected to Preveli beach you will find a series of springs and waterfalls that lead into the gorge which can also be visited. Enjoy the versatile mixture of sandy beaches, lush forest and stony mountains.
The next stop is the small resort of Plakias, near Souda Beach. Here you will have the opportunity to have a traditional Cretan lunch and the chance to go for another swim. In addition to swimming there are several shops that you can visit. Return to your accommodation with a different home route which will lead you through the Kourtaliotiko gorge. Around 7pm we will have returned to Chania.
