What to expect

The palette of colours that is the Yucatan sparkles on this nature-rich tour. You'll swim in two of the area's top underwater and open-top cenotes, tuck into a traditional buffet lunch of regional dishes and take a guided tour of Valladolid, a little town with a big reputation. Xisco, one of our local expert guides, says "Valladolid is Mexico at its most authentic. The streets here are so full of life and colour that it really has to be seen to be believed. This tour introduces you to the town's culture and laidback way of life while also taking you into the heart of its natural beauty – I'm sure this will be the highlight of your holiday to Mexico."

You'll start your adventure at one of the most beautiful underground cenotes in the Yucatán. Swim in crystal-clear waters surrounded by ancient rock formations – it's like stepping into another world. This cenote is the crowning jewel of the region, offering a refreshing escape that's perfect for cooling off and snapping some amazing photos.

After a dip in the cenote, you'll head to Valladolid, where your first stop is the vibrant local market. Stroll through colourful stalls filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and handmade goods, mingle with friendly locals and soak up the lively atmosphere. Then, you'll explore the historic centre, walking along the charming 'Avenue of the Frayles' and visiting the beautiful Convent of San Bernardino. To wrap up our day, enjoy a delicious buffet of traditional Yucatecan food and then relax at an open cenote for one last swim.

Grund: Die Zeitverscjiebung in YUC
