What to expect

A real feast for the senses awaits you on the Amalfi Coast. In a small group, you'll make your way from village to village by bus, glimpsing the sea at the end of twisting lanes and soaking up the sheer beauty of this world-famous destination. Discover the glamour of Positano and the panorama from lofty Ravello with a hilltop lunch in between. Francesca, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘For me, the real Amalfi Coast is best experienced in the villages perched high above the sea. This is where you can see the magic of these steep mountains covered in lemon groves, tumbling down to the blue waves below.'

This tour features a more personal touch. First up, you'll stop in the cliff-hugging village of Positano, where each house seems to be stacked upon the next. This splendid ensemble of colourful houses clinging to the mountainside is one of Italy's classic sights. After a short tour, enjoy some free time before we set off for lunch in a family-owned restaurant located in the hilltop village of Pontone. Francesa adds, ‘Pontone is one of my favourite places on the Amalfi Coast because it's the oldest village in the region, and it's still so authentic – a little-known gem with epic views.'

And last but not least, you'll head to ravishing Ravello, where your guide will show you around the village with its ornate Duomo dating back to the 11th century and a clutch of sumptuous villas with incredible views along the coast. After your guided tour, you'll have free time to explore.

The driver and guide where great , the trip was rushed too much crammed in and no time to enjoy, by the time we got to final destination we had an hour , queued up for the fort and left without seeing it , feel a bit robbed

The guide was excellent. The lunch stop location was excellent however the service wasn't the best as there were too few staff and two tours arrived at the same time. I was also asked to move tables to one without a view to accommodate a couple! This happens all the time when travelling solo! It's very frustrating.

The whole day was well organized with time for us to have a good look round. The driver and guide were excellent and gave us lots of local knowledge. The lunch was a welcome treat. A really good experience.

Good tour guide and driver, traffic was a nightmare and wasn’t aware it took 2 hours to get back. Also would have been good to be told what the food was at the start or have 2 choices rather than everyone get the same (my wife paid for a pizza as she’s fussy) but there was no money off it and we didn’t get her lasagne plate either. We also left some sunglasses on the bus and they went walkabouts.

This tour is a great way to explore the area and see the beautiful views from the coastal road. Positano is a gorgeous place and well worth the visit. Don’t miss the shops selling everything lemons, very reasonably priced. Lunch at the next stop was huge and tasty. Ravello is worth it for the view. Our guide was very helpful and gave us a wealth of information about the history of the Amalfi coast and its vertical communities. Our driver kept his cool and made it a safe, enjoyable journey
