Beschreibung

Der Golden Circle ist die Bezeichnung für eine Kombination dreier besonders bedeutender Orte im Westen Islands. Diese Orte sind der Þingvellir-Nationalpark, das Geysir-Geothermalgebiet und der Gullfoss-Wasserfall. Diese Tagestour beinhaltet zwei zusätzliche Stopps, die Sie sich nicht entgehen lassen sollten, um das Erlebnis perfekt abzurunden.

Ihre Tour beginnt in Reykjavik, wo Sie in einen Minibus für maximal 18 Passagiere steigen. Die Gruppe ist klein, damit Sie die besuchten Orte in Ruhe erleben können. Ihr erster Halt ist der Kratersee Kerid, der Sie mit seinem leuchtend blaugrünen Wasser und der tiefschwarzen Umgebung beeindrucken wird. Anschließend besuchen Sie den fantastischen Fridheimar-Bauernhof und genießen eine Führung durch die berühmten Ställe und Gewächshäuser des Hofes.

Nach diesen Stopps besuchen Sie die wichtigsten Attraktionen des Golden Circle, beginnend mit Gulfoss, dem wohl schönsten Wasserfall des Landes. Ihr vorletzter Stopp ist der Große Geysir, wo Sie 20 Meter hohe Ausbrüche beobachten können. Anschließend geht es weiter zum Thingvellir-Nationalpark, einem historischen Wahrzeichen Islands. Hier wurde 930 nicht nur das Parlament des Landes gegründet, sondern es gehört auch zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe und ist der beste Ort der Welt, um den Nordatlantischen Rücken zu betrachten.
