Erlebnisse in Akamas Peninsula National Park
Akamas Peninsula National Park is not for your average Cyprus visitor. Those who go to Akamas Peninsula National Park in northwest Cyprus tend to seek more than just the ordinary beach holiday — they want to explore a mountainous nature reserve characterised by wildlife diversity, secluded beaches, clear waters, and free from human development.
A hotspot for biodiversity in Cyprus due to its relatively inaccessible location, Akamas Peninsula National Park is home to a wide range of flora and fauna. If you’re lucky, you might be able to spot the Paphos Blue (Glaucopsyche paphos), a small butterfly that is endemic to Cyprus. Other points of interest in the area include the Baths of Aphrodite, where according to myth the goddess Aphrodite used to bathe, the Blue Lagoon cove, and Lara Beach, a secluded beach that is known for its resident sea turtles.
Akamas Peninsula is a promontory facing the Mediterranean Sea found approximately 40 km north of Paphos, Cyprus. To get around, it’s best to get a sturdy 4x4 vehicle or quad bike for off-road driving as opposed to using a car since there are not many roads here. You can also get around by foot on one of the many hiking trails or cruise along the shores of the Akamas Peninsula by boat.

Bewertungen Akamas Peninsula National Park
“The cruise was fantastic however the zoo was appalling I would never recommend anyone go there”
“Was 25mins late being collected from hotel.Zoo was OK little bit rushed only being given 2 hours which needed to include eating lunch. Best bit was feeding the lemurs 5 euro per person (cash only) no giraffes considering is main picture was bit disappointing. Blue lagoon OK nothing special.”
“Honestly apart from having a quiet word in my ear about Scandinavian flicking the buggy on the bends ( my fault totally ) what an amazing day out. For me the best value for money you could buy, organising was top notch, we went places no car could ever go. Loved all the places we went too.”
