Reisen Sie zurück in die Zeit der Togas und Streitwagen mit dieser privaten Halbtagestour zu den antiken Stätten von Perga und Aspendos. Zu den Attraktionen, die Sie entdecken werden, gehört das vielleicht am besten erhaltene römische Theater.

Der erste Punkt auf der Geschichts-Hitliste ist die klassische Stadt Perga. Dieser einst lebhafte römische Hafen wurde um 1300 v. Chr. gegründet und war die erste Station des Heiligen Paulus auf seinen Missionsreisen rund um das Mittelmeer. Nehmen Sie an einer geführten Tour teil, treten Sie durch das triumphale römische Tor und bewundern Sie die Tempelruinen, den Marktplatz und die Brunnen. Auf der von Säulen gesäumten Hauptstraße können Sie sogar die von Wagenrädern verursachten Rillen in den Steinplatten sehen. Außerdem gibt es ein Stadion mit 12 000 Plätzen und die Überreste einer Akropolis aus der Bronzezeit.

Als Nächstes fahren wir nach Aspendos, um eines der am besten erhaltenen Theater aus der Antike zu sehen. Vor 2000 Jahren in einen steilen Hang gebaut und groß genug für 15 000 Zuschauer, wird es wegen seiner perfekten Akustik auch heute noch für Opern und Konzerte genutzt.

Muzaffer, one of our expert guides, says, ‘Legend has it that Cleopatra's pool was the secret to her beauty. I don't know if that's true, but it's an inspiring place for a dip. Collapsed columns and marble remnants dating back to Cleopatra's time are submerged in the thermal waters. They fell here during the 7th century earthquake.'Leaving Antalya early in the morning, you'll arrive at Lake Salda after a few hours' scenic drive. It's been compared to the Maldives for its long white beaches and multi-toned blue waters. You'll have free time to take some photos of this otherworldly spot. We'll head to Pamukkale for lunch. Afterwards, catch a peek of the bright white calcite terraces – they look like icy stalactites dripping from pools of sky-blue water.At the top of these travertines is Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the Byzantine Gate and marvel at the ruins as you stroll towards the vast bowl-shaped theatre. It's epic.
